Very welcoming atmosphere. Room 5 was cozy and warm, making it a relaxing retreat. While I appreciated the cleanliness and attentive service, the dining options in the area were quite limited and on the pricey side. a pleasant stay.

I had a lovely stay at Fitzwarine House. The cozy atmosphere made it feel like home right away. The room was spacious, with a comfortable bed that provided great sleep quality. I loved waking up to views of the picturesque Whittington Castle just across the way. it added a unique charm to my stay. The hostess was welcoming and provided plenty of local tips, which made exploring the area enjoyable. Breakfast in a bag was a pleasant surprise, filled with tasty options like bacon baps and fresh fruit. I did notice that the stairs were quite steep, which might not suit everyone, especially those with mobility issues. the breakfast selection was a bit limited, lacking cooked choices. These minor tweaks could greatly enhance the experience.

Fine castle views, rich history reflected in the hotel, effective heating and comfort in the rooms
The noise from the main road can be quite intrusive!!! Creaky floors detracted from the peaceful ambiance!!! Limited dining options nearby may limit your choices!!! Checkout process too early for a leisurely morning!!!

Couples recharge haven
Waking up to the view of the castle was surreal, sitting with a cuppa while ducks quacked nearby was something straight out of a movie. The host was more than friendly, really made the whole experience feel special.
It wasn’t exactly budget-friendly but it was fair enough for the comfort we got.
